How You Will Make An Impact

  • Develop and execute operational strategies across transportation, logistics, and warehousing.
  • Provide executive oversight to departments across Washington and Alaska, with eventual expansion to military logistics units.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives with a Lean/Six Sigma approach, turning around underperforming operations and building sustainable, scalable solutions.
  • Build detailed business plans, forecasts, and performance reports using a data-driven approach.
  • Represent the organization in client-facing engagements, including interactions with ocean freightliners and QBRs/QVRs.
  • Lead cultural shifts prioritizing safety in historically high-risk geographies like Alaska.
  • Ensure maritime compliance through expert knowledge of the Jones Act and other relevant regulations.
  • Establish KPIs and reporting frameworks to optimize operational transparency, safety compliance, and efficiency.

Are You an Operations Leadership Rock Star?

  • 10+ years of operations leadership experience in logistics, transportation, or maritime sectors.
  • 5–7+ years in Director or VP-level roles overseeing complex, multi-state logistics operations.
  • Deep understanding of ocean freight, water carriers, and Alaskan logistics ecosystems.
  • Demonstrated success in cultural safety transformation and risk mitigation.
  • Jones Act compliance expertise is essential.
  • Strong command of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies; continuous improvement track record.
  • Proven P&L ownership, strategic mindset, and executive presence.
  • Metrics-driven leadership style with strong analytical and forecasting capabilities.
  • Effective communicator with high emotional intelligence and a collaborative mindset.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • Willingness to relocate or be based in the Seattle/Tacoma/Fife, WA area.
