Treasury Associate

Our client, a $150bn+ alternatives firm in Midtown, Manhattan is looking for an experienced Treasury Associate to join their team.

The ideal candidate will have 1-6 yrs. of financial services experience and a strong understanding of Treasury functions.

You will...

• Manage the liquidity requirements for the fund, including daily cash position forecasting and funding projections
• Assist with wire processing, reconciliations, cash breaks, trade approvals, and clearing of settlements
• Work closely with the Trading Desk and Accounting Department to support the full lifecycle of all products
• Assist with testing the implementation of new processes, technologies, and overall initiatives
• Produce daily and monthly reports on liquidity
• Ad-hoc projects, as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, or similar field
• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, or similar field
• 1-6 yrs. of Treasury experience in asset management or insurance business
• Familiarity with short-term cash markets such as money markets, commercial paper, and related instruments.
• Strong knowledge of various fixed income and credit products
• Prior experience on a cash trading desk or within treasury operations with a focus on liquidity management and short-term investing and/or experience within fund finance
• Familiarity of FIS/SunGard VPM accounting a plus
• Familiarity of Indus Valley Partners’ products a plus
