About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) Manager to join our team for a high-profile data center project in South Bend, Indiana . This role is ideal for a detail-oriented leader with a strong background in HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems within mission critical environments , particularly data centers .

As our QA/QC Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring our mechanical scope is executed to the highest standards of quality, compliance, and performance.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive QA/QC plans for mechanical systems, including HVAC, chilled water, hydronic piping, and fuel/oil systems.
• Oversee field inspections and testing for ductwork, piping, and equipment installations.
• Ensure full compliance with project specifications, ASME/ASTM codes, company standards, and client expectations.
• Conduct quality audits, maintain detailed records, and drive corrective/preventive action programs.
• Interface with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and client representatives.
• Support commissioning teams by ensuring systems are test-ready and fully documented.
• Track and verify redlines, submittals, and mechanical equipment installations in alignment with BIM coordination.
• Train and mentor field staff and foremen on QA/QC protocols and procedures.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in QA/QC or mechanical supervision in commercial or industrial construction .
• Proven track record on mission critical projects (e.g., data centers, healthcare, pharma, clean rooms).
• Strong working knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing codes, piping fabrication, and installation standards.
• Familiar with ASME, ASTM, SMACNA, IPC, and IMC standards.
• Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, BIM 360, and QA/QC tracking tools preferred.
• OSHA 30 and QA/QC certifications a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical plans, specifications, and submittals.
