Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Buyer to join our us in the Houston head office.

PV Hardware (PVH) is a provider of innovative solar tracking solutions for the global utility-scale solar market, including trackers, fixed structures and SCADA system. Yet, we are the third largest solar tracker supplier in the world and aiming to be the leader in the industry!

Requirements

• Degrees in Industrial Engineer or an equivalent to Industrial manufacturing (preferred).
• 5+ years’ experience of steel Supply Chain in the US.
• Office Package, SAP, Advanced Excel.
• Knowledge of international logistics is preferred.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and apply the purchasing strategy of the company, guarantee the sourcing of Project´s and factory´s demands.
• Agile methodology to follow up all purchasing requests through company ERP.
• Negotiation and close the main supply contracts of the assigned projects, strong background in the steel market will be highly valued
• Launch, negotiation and closure of the RFQ processes, for the rest of the supplies, of the assigned projects.
• Location of new suppliers that can supply materials and/or work in the different projects, in which the company participates.
• Finalize purchase order and delivery details.
• Inform key functional metrics to reduce costs and improve effectiveness.
• Collaborate with the rest of key departments to secure contracts and RFQ's processes.
• Monitoring of risk management for contracts and supply agreements, as well as search for possible alternatives in other possible suppliers.
• Development and knowledge of supplier portfolio, as well as its valuation.
• Development, negotiation and management of global framework agreements with key suppliers in order to minimize risk and total cost.
