Express Employment Professionals is excited to partner with States Manufacturing in Champlin, MN to hire Painters! Celebrating over 100 years in business, States Manufacturing just expanded to a second facility in Dayton, MN as they continue provide dependable electrical and metal solutions across the country. States Manufacturing is looking to hire Painters at both their Champlin, MN and Dayton, MN facilities.

Job Summary

As a Painter, you'll be operating a variety of coating equipment including paint guns, hoppers, and booth systems per customer orders. This is a collaborative role where you'll be working alongside others to load products onto fixtures, prep products for coating, and bake parts once the coating has been applied. Painters must undergo a PFT and FIT evaluation, and respirators will be required to be worn occasionally.

Schedule

• Monday to Friday
• 6:00am-2:30pm

Pay

• $20.34-$36.24/hour, based on experience
• Weekly paychecks every Friday

Location and Work Environment

• Openings at both Champlin, MN and Dayton, MN facilities
• Clean working environment
• Option to wear one earbud on the production floor

Responsibilities and Duties

• Load parts onto fixtures
• Prep parts for coating
• Operate coating equipment (paint guns, hoppers, and booth collection systems)
• Review machine gauges and equipment operations
• Adjust paint flow, viscosity, and coating quality
• Adjust temperatures and time limits to bake painted parts appropriately
• Review painted parts for quality and ensure customer specifications are met

Skills and Qualifications

• 1 year of related experience OR training OR equivalent combination of education and experience
• Previous powder coating experience (preferred)
• Ability to read, interpret, and understand detailed design prints
• PFT and FIT evaluation (required)
• Ability to occasionally wear a respirator (required)
• High school diploma OR equivalent (required)
• Pre-employment background check (required)
