Work Arrangement: Hybrid (2 days in office per week)

Position Overview

Our client, a top insurance company is searching for an insurance (claims) litigation specialist. This role involves managing complex commercial claims across multiple states, requiring thorough investigation, technical expertise, and strategic resolution. You will work closely with policyholders, risk managers, agents, and legal counsel to resolve disputes involving coverage, liability, and damages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain appropriate state adjuster licenses and continuing education credits.
  • Handle settlement of litigated CGL cases involving complex disputes.
  • Conduct thorough investigations and develop resolution strategies.
  • Collaborate with defense counsel and vendors for timely, cost-effective outcomes.
  • Identify potentially suspicious claims.
  • Manage transferred losses and first notice lawsuits with disputed coverage.
  • Represent the company in mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
  • Analyze contracts and leases for risk transfer opportunities.
  • Draft positional coverage letters and manage litigation expenses.
  • Serve as a technical resource for other adjusters.
  • Maintain high standards of productivity, confidentiality, and customer service.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 3–5 years in Commercial General Liability Litigation with an insurance carrier.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; industry designation preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong decision-making and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work independently.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Collaborative mindset and adaptability to change.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ability to work in a paperless environment.
  • Knowledge of applicable statutes, regulations, and case law.
