Job Title: AUTOSAR Engineer (MCAL Experience)

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled AUTOSAR Engineer with strong hands-on experience in MCAL (Microcontroller Abstraction Layer) development and integration for a contract role in Auburn Hills, MI . The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuring, developing, and testing low-level drivers and ensuring seamless integration within the AUTOSAR architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and integrate MCAL drivers based on AUTOSAR architecture.
• Configure AUTOSAR stack modules using tools such as DaVinci Configurator , EB tresos , or equivalent.
• Collaborate with hardware teams to understand microcontroller specifications and support hardware-software integration.
• Perform unit testing and debugging of MCAL modules.
• Ensure compliance with AUTOSAR standards and customer-specific requirements.
• Participate in code reviews, integration testing, and issue resolution.
• Document software design, implementation, and testing activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience working with AUTOSAR architecture , with specific experience in MCAL .
• Hands-on experience with microcontrollers such as Infineon, NXP, Renesas, or STMicroelectronics .
• Proficient in C programming and embedded software development.
• Experience with AUTOSAR configuration tools ( DaVinci Developer/Configurator, EB tresos ).
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills using tools like Oscilloscopes, Lauterbach, CANoe/CANalyzer .
• Familiarity with communication protocols like CAN, LIN, SPI, I2C .

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exposure to Functional Safety (ISO 26262) .
• Experience in the automotive domain with Tier 1 or OEM clients.
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices and version control tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins ).
