Director of Events

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Events Director to oversee the full lifecycle of events hosted at a high-impact cultural and experiential venue. From strategic planning to flawless execution, the ideal candidate will bring a proven track record in managing high-volume events, exceptional industry relationships, and the business acumen to grow the events arm of the organization. This is a key leadership role reporting directly to senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute all aspects of event planning and production—from concept through completion—for corporate, private, and public events.
  • Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure service excellence across all event partners.
  • Develop and manage event budgets, timelines, and logistics to align with organizational goals.
  • Partner with marketing and sales teams to grow the events business through targeted outreach, partnership development, and strategic positioning.
  • Maintain and grow strong relationships with top corporate event planners, agencies, and brand partners.
  • Supervise and mentor internal event staff and freelance teams to deliver consistent, high-quality execution.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate events with the organization's creative and experiential vision.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, permits, and venue requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience overseeing banquets and event management for venues hosting 200–600 guests.
  • Proven track record of strategic event planning, budgeting, and operations management.
  • Deep network of contacts within the corporate events and entertainment sectors.
  • Strong leadership and team management experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter with a positive, can-do attitude and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Passion for creating transformative guest experiences through art, culture, or technology.
