About the Role:
The Counter position is essential for ensuring a seamless customer experience and efficient operations within our facility. This role involves managing customer interactions, processing transactions, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The successful candidate will be responsible for problem-solving on the spot, addressing customer inquiries, and ensuring that all products are well-stocked and organized. Additionally, the Counter will play a key role in team collaboration, contributing to a positive work environment and supporting sales initiatives. Ultimately, this position is vital for driving customer satisfaction and operational success in our Rumford location.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience in a customer service or retail environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in inventory management or sales management.
Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and cash handling procedures.
Responsibilities:
Greet and assist customers in a professional manner, addressing their needs and inquiries.
Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently while maintaining a balanced cash register.
Track and manage inventory levels, ensuring that products are stocked and organized.
Collaborate with team members to enhance sales strategies and improve customer service.
Utilize problem-solving skills to resolve customer issues and improve overall service delivery.
Skills:
The required skills for this position are crucial for daily operations and customer interactions. Problem-solving abilities will be utilized to address customer concerns and enhance their experience. Strong communication skills are essential for effectively conveying information to customers and collaborating with team members. Mechanical aptitude may be beneficial when handling equipment or troubleshooting issues that arise. Additionally, the ability to work unsupervised will empower the candidate to take initiative and manage tasks efficiently, contributing to the overall success of the team.
Work week: Saturday thru Friday
Availability: Weekends and Holidays required
Variable shift hours: 4 hours to 8 hours
Part Time Hours: Range from 15 - 30 hours per week
Compensation details: 15-20 Hourly Wage
