Job Title: Estimator

About the Company:

We’re a commercial general contractor specializing in ground-up and interior projects across retail, medical, office, and industrial. We’re seeking an Estimator to support preconstruction efforts and help build competitive, accurate proposals.

Role Overview:

The Estimator will analyze plans and specs, coordinate subcontractor pricing, and prepare detailed estimates to support bid efforts and project budgeting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review drawings and specifications to develop quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
• Send out bid invitations and manage subcontractor pricing.
• Evaluate proposals for completeness and scope coverage.
• Assist in preparing and assembling final bid packages.
• Maintain historical cost data and pricing databases.
• Work with internal teams on value engineering and project hand-offs.
• Stay current on construction methods, pricing, and industry trends.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of estimating experience with a commercial general contractor.
• Familiarity with ground-up and interior commercial construction.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and estimating tools (Bluebeam preferred).
• Strong understanding of plans, specs, and construction documents.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• High school diploma required; associate degree or equivalent experience preferred.
