Biomedical Equipment Technician III – Los Angeles, CA

Full-Time | Mid-Senior Level | Relocation Assistance Available

A leading hospital in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Biomedical Equipment Technician III to join their healthcare technology team. This is a hands-on role supporting advanced clinical equipment in a fast-paced hospital environment. What You’ll Do

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting, repair, calibration, and maintenance of a wide range of clinical equipment and systems
  • Lead and mentor junior technicians to support skills development and ensure service quality
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards across all supported equipment
  • Communicate effectively with clinical staff to resolve equipment issues and identify proactive solutions
  • Maintain detailed service documentation, reports, and inventory records
  • Contribute to budgeting decisions related to parts, tools, and service

What We’re Looking For

  • At least 7 years of experience in electronic, mechanical, or electro-mechanical repair within a healthcare setting
  • Associate’s degree (or equivalent experience) in biomedical engineering, electronics, or a related technical field
  • Proven hands-on experience with advanced clinical devices, including:
  • Ventilators (Servo U, I, V60s, Trilogy EV300)
  • GE anesthesia equipment
  • OR and telemetry systems
  • Strong understanding of electronic circuitry, medical equipment schematics, and healthcare technology systems
  • Working knowledge of networking principles and CMMS
  • Leadership experience, including mentoring or training junior team members
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and time management skills
  • A valid driver’s license and clean driving record
