Fresh Baguette is a fast-growing artisanal French bakery with 2 production centers and 8 retail locations — soon to be 13, with 5 new stores planned each year. We are seeking a hands-on, leadership-driven Assistant Maintenance Manager to join our expanding team and help support operations running 7 days a week, from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM.
You’ll be the #2 leader in a department that went from 1 tech to 5 staff in under 2 years — and is still growing. This role is 70% technical and in the field, 30% managerial, and 100% essential to our continued success.· Lead and execute preventive and corrective maintenance across all sites using Limble CMMS
· Provide hands-on technical support and supervise 3 full-time technicians
· Troubleshoot and repair refrigeration, electrical, HVAC, ovens, proofers, mixers, and more
· Schedule maintenance operations and ensure coverage across multiple sites
· Coordinate and supervise contractors and participate in new store equipment setup
· Ensure OSHA and SQF compliance across all work
· Serve as on-duty manager every other weekend, rotating with the Maintenance Executive Manager
· Act as technician when needed due to workload or team shortage
· Maintain detailed part inventory and documentation
Core hours: 1:30 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday–Friday
High availability required, including flexible weekends and emergency response
No remote work — this is a boots-on-the-ground leadership role
·8–10+ years of industrial maintenance experience (less accepted if fast learner)
·3–5+ years in a supervisory or team lead role
· Strong background in refrigeration and electrical systems
· Comfortable with CMMS (Limble preferred), work order flow, and technician dispatch
· EPA 608 Universal certification required
· OSHA training preferred
· Bilingual (French-English) is a plus
