Job Description

Job Summary:

We're hiring an organized Administrative Assistant for a faith based organization in Greenville, SC. Responsibilities include answering all phone calls and emails quickly and kindly and some bookkeeping tasks. Candidates should be great communicators who have great attention to detail and time management skills. This position is temporary with the potential to go permanent with client based on job performance.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $18 - $20 per hour
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance once hired on permanently
  • Schedule Mon - Fri 9 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities:

  • Manage church office operations and front-desk activities
  • Support clergy and ministry leaders with scheduling, communications, and administrative tasks
  • Maintain files, calendars, and office systems
  • Coordinate parish communications (emails, bulletins, announcements)
  • Serve as the point of contact for vendors and service providers
  • Make bank deposits, write checks, and record transactions in QuickBooks
  • Assist with planning and logistics for seasonal events and special projects

Qualifications:

  • Enjoys talking with people and can communicate through verbal and written channels
  • Proven track record of completing projects on time in an orderly manner
  • Associate's degree preferred but not required to apply
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and QuickBooks and can quickly learn to use new programs
  • Customer service, some bookkeeping, and administrative experience is required
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Commitment to the details
